SEOUL, South Korea (March 24, 2025) — SK Signet, a global manufacturer of electric vehicle chargers, said its V2 chargers have received an average user satisfaction score of 9.5 out of 10 from American users, reflecting growing confidence in the company’s reliability and performance.

According to PlugShare, a global platform that aggregates EV charging station information and user reviews, feedback on SK Signet’s V2 chargers has been overwhelmingly positive. Users have praised the chargers in various aspects including their ease of use without requiring a mobile app, as well as speed and safety leaving comments such as “the best charger I’ve used,” and “everything works smoothly and reliably during ultra-fast charging.”

The strong feedback reflects SK Signet’s commitment to a development strategy that places quality improvement at the center of product design.

The V2 charger can deliver up to 400kW, enabling vehicles to charge in under 10 minutes. When paired with a 600kW power bank, it can charge up to four vehicles simultaneously. The charger supports both CCS1, the international DC fast-charging standard, and NACS, Tesla's North American Charging Standard, and features Active Power Sharing, a technology that optimizes power distribution based on each vehicle's state of charge (SoC). By allocating power more efficiently, the system shortens charging times for drivers and increases station throughput for operators, improving overall profitability.

SK Signet has also integrated its Charger Integrated Support System (CISS), which enables real-time monitoring of charger status, component-level diagnostics, and remote resets. The system allows engineers to identify and address issues before dispatching service personnel, improving response times and enabling predictive maintenance to keep chargers operating at peak performance.

In October last year, SK Signet conducted a pilot installation of its V2 400kW chargers equipped with CISS at charging stations operated by Francis Energy, one of its key U.S. charging point operator partners. Seth Christ, Francis Energy’s chief strategy officer, said the system has significantly improved operational efficiency. “CISS allows wireless software updates and remote maintenance of charger components,” he said. “That means many issues can now be resolved quickly and efficiently without an on-site visit from a service engineer. This kind of technological innovation will substantially increase uptime across our rapidly expanding charging network and help build a more stable and reliable charging infrastructure.”

SK Signet reported that the average uptime across its V2 charger lineup reached 99.6% in the first quarter of 2025, exceeding the 97% benchmark set by the U.S. federal government’s National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program.

“Our priority is to ensure that customers can trust our products and purchase them with confidence,” said Kim Jong-woo, CEO of SK Signet. “By placing quality and reliability at the forefront of our design and customer service, we aim to go beyond manufacturing and establish ourselves as a company that delivers lasting value to our customers.”
