SK Signet to Join Renowned Electric Vehicle Symposium EVS36, Unveiling the First US-Produced 400 kW ultra-fast Charger V2

SK Signet, a leading player in the high-speed electric vehicle charging market, announced their participation in EVS36 (the 36th Electric Vehicle Symposium & Exposition), the world's oldest and largest electric vehicle event. The symposium, set to take place from June 11th to June 14th in Sacramento, California, has been a key event for the electric vehicle industry since its inception in 1969.

EVS36, organized by the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) and the World Electric Vehicle Association (WEVA), is expected to attract over 2,200 industry professionals and experts. With more than 400 companies participating, this year's exhibition promises to be the largest one yet.

At the SK Signet booth during EVS36, the company unveiled its highly anticipated 400 kW ultra-fast Charger V2, which was first introduced at CES 2023.

At the SK Signet booth during EVS36, the company unveiled its highly anticipated 400 kW ultra-fast Charger V2, which was first introduced at CES 2023. This remarkable charger has the capability to charge two vehicles simultaneously from a single port with a maximum output of up to 400 kW. As the first 400 kW ultra-fast to be produced in the United States, it can charge an electric vehicle to 80% capacity in just 15 minutes, making it the fastest charging solution available.

The 400 kW ultra-fast Charger V2 garnered significant attention during a recent charging demonstration event held on June 5th at SK Signet's Grand Opening of their new Plano-based EV Charger Manufacturing Facility. The demonstration showcased the simultaneous charging of two electric vehicles, reaching an impressive top output of 400 kW.

Moreover, the V2 charger is manufactured using American steel, making it one of the few products eligible for the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program (NEVI) aimed at expanding the electric vehicle charging infrastructure throughout the United States. Seung-June Oh, President of SK Signet America, further emphasized his commitment to expedite sales in the North American market. This will be achieved through the completion of the manufacturing facility in Plano, Texas, as well as through an exploration of the diverse demands of potential customers attending the symposium.

In addition to its cutting-edge ultra-fast charger, SK Signet will also unveil a prototype model of its Megawatt Charging System (MCS) at the exhibition. The MCS is designed to deliver charging power in the megawatt range, making it suitable for heavy-duty vehicles such as trucks and buses equipped with large-capacity batteries. With power supply capabilities exceeding 1000 kW, the Megawatt Charging System represents a significant advancement in charging technology.
